Future Technology
Ok, so I just started to read the Scott Westerfeld series: Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras. They're pretty good and a lot of future technology is introduced, like flash tattoos that provide info about you and belly rings that let the higher ups know where you are at all times. So, I'm on Mr. Westerfeld's blog and he has links to some new technology that is being tested. Check this out!

Ok, so in August, the fourth Twilight book will be out. I know that Book People is planning on having a party to celebrate....costumes and all. Anyone up for going?

WE'RE BACK!
I hope everyone had a great summer! We've set up this blog as a way to relay information to you and to entertain. Visit frequently as we will try to post a few times a week.
If you haven't already heard, we have a new librarian, Mrs. R. She's awesome! So come on down to meet her if you haven't already.
So, what did you do this summer? What did you read? Harry Potter seems to be one of the most popular books read this summer. I already know of about 10 teachers here at Martin who read it. I personally read it and cried like a big baby. I'm not going to tell you why I cried because I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't read it yet, but I'll just tell you that it was GOOD! If you read it, post your opinions here as a comment. WARNING to all of you who plan on reading it, don't read the comments because they will spoil it for you!
I also found a cool band called Harry and the Potters. They're these two brothers and all of their songs are about stuff that happens in Harry Potter books. Check them out at http://www.eskimolabs.com/hp/
You can listen to some of their songs here and they also have a MySpace. My favorite song is "Save Ginny Weasley." Anyhoo, check them out.
Well, that's it for now. Like I said, check back frequently because we're going to try to post several times a week. We'll be putting up reviews of new books, giving info about happenings in the library, and just blabbing on about nothing.
